Hey you awesome people,
here is an american petition to legally recognise non-binary genders. Which means: American genderqueer/agender/other non-binary people could finally get the recognition they deserve!
You can even sign it if you don't live in the States. I already did!
Signing up to the page takes like 2 minutes and it's for a good cause! It's already half way signed and we have until April 20, so go for it!

Anything bold and underlined is a clickable link.

:community: Joining

Come on in! We have cookies and lemonade. All you have to do is click "join group" and state which "category" you fall under (FTM, MTF, Genderqueer, Neutrois, etc) so we can put you on the The Out-Yourself Wall.

:star: EVERYONE is allowed to join, and will automatically be accepted.

:star: If you have already joined as a member, and would like to be a contributor, just tell one of the admins, and we can switch you over.

:police: Basic Etiquette and Rules
:star: PLEASE CLICK AND READ UPON JOINING

This is a support group, not a political debate group. If you consistently act rude, insensitive, or attack another member, you will be removed from the group. You mess with us, we'll mess with you.

A lot of events that take place on this page manifest from the voices of the members themselves, not just myself. This having been said, if a member finds themselves banned, it is most likely the will of a distressed portion of the group, rather than the moderators.

:gallery: Submitting Your Work

This group is specifically for art that deals with the topic of gender identity.
When submitting art to b00b-B-gone, please make sure it fits the following:

1. Your work must be about gender identity. (We are not a group for LGB art, unless the art also has Transgender themes.)

2. Your art must be supportive of transgender and gender queer people. Work that is anti-trans or against deviantART rules will not be posted.

3. Keep submissions related to the aforementioned theme. (i.e. A picture of you with your cat or cosplaying your favorite character is really not directly related.)

4. Try to keep submissions artistic. ("Myspace photos" or shots in front of a mirror will be denied.)

5. Deviations are limited to 3/week and are subject to vote.

:pencil: Submitting Blogs

Anyone is allowed to submit a blog, as long as it is related to group interests, keeps up with DA rules, and isn't offensive. You may post personal accomplishments or failures, or you may post community news. It does not have to be in English.

:earth: Internationality

This is an INTERNATIONAL group! Anyone from anywhere speaking any language is allowed! Don't feel like you have to post in English! We allow any language in journals, art, and Maria's List of TG/GQ Media!

:faq: The Snarky TG/GQ FAQ

The stupidest and most bizarre questions are usually directed towards transpeople. Post the best of the best here!

:helpdesk: The TG/GQ Help Forum

We have our snarky FAQ for making fun of the ignorant, but it would be helpful to have our -own- questions forum. Here is where we shall discuss any issues we have that demand answers. Just post anything as a comment that is on your mind that you would like help with.

:bookdiva: Our Stories

Here is where you can post a link to your story. It can be a biography, an anecdote, or a coming out letter. Submit the story as a deviation and put it in the appropriate folder, then simply put a comment here linking to the deviation. Please say if the story is FTM, neutrois, bigendered etc. next to the link.

It's a change.
It's only how you interpret the change.
But it's a natural substance of the body,
it's not a strange drug like medicine and such.
your body already produces some,
you will just get the male body dose. :)

It adjusts your body fat from hip to belly.
It deepens your voice and you get body hair
You can loose head hair,
check your mother's and father's male line for baldness.
You can get more muscle, be more active and sexual.

If love your hip, your high voice
or are against shaving or having body hair,
or have a problem with more lust
or can't take the risk of loosing hair
(that's something many men worry about though)
you will not like it...

My mom ran into a transwoman who applied for a job at where she works. She always calls her by female pronouns, because both of them (my mom and the woman) are nice people.

So I made a self-portrait of sorts before I came out (I'm out now), that was trying to determine how I might have looked if I had been born female in body as well as mind.  I am not sure if this fits the submission guidelines as there's nothing in the piece itself to that refers to gender identity, it looks like any other portrait of a woman.

Would something like that fit the guidelines or no? I can link the piece if for you if needed.

I think this is very interesting. Did you explain all this in the description of the picture? Then I think it would be no problem to add this to the group.
(Other mods: what do you think about this?)

if you're supposed to be a group for ALL trans ppl regardless of their biology

why

on earth

is your title referencing a surgery that only individuals who are capable of developing breasts have

I wasn't there when the group was founded, but it started out as a FtM group as far as I know. I guess the audience just shifted and now it's a group for everyone.
(At least the name is catchier than "trans-DA" or whatever...)

I have met some transgendered individuals who do not feel dysphoric over their lower bits and don't want surgery, so I'm wondering....do you think there's a thing where a cisgendered individual feels dysphoric over not having the opposite sex lower bits, but doesn't feel like the opposite gender mentally?

Probably it's not very common, but it could be. Although I often saw transmen who refused lower surgery because the neophallus would never look as good as a real one. Cis men wouldn't have that problem.
An interesting thought!

I believe that's something I suffer from, so I wondered if it was possible. I've always wanted male genitalia, but I don't feel FtM or relate to FtM's, so It's confusing ): I think right now I identify more genderqueer than cis though because of the confusion.
I understand that too! And an actual phalloplasty looks both unsatisfying and horribly painful.

Hello! I have two questions^^
I'd like to join but I wanted to know if my work would fit in the theme of the group?
Also, I haven't given much thought to how I classify myself...I might need advice, I'm very new to a lot of this. Thank you!

Hm, I can't tell you anything about joining since I can't see your deviations. Sorry about that. (Somebody else of the team, please?)
I don't think you need to classify yourself, at least not into "female" and "male". There's a lot more on the gender spectrum than those two words! And in the end they're just words. :)

Hallo!
I'm a happy member of this group - but to be fair, that was one hell of a flood of badly taken ass pictures that just happened.

I totally understand that people want to document their progress and their expression, but... maybe there should be some sort of rule against a flood of the same type of photo? (or at least only accept those that are in focus?)

We usually have a rule of rejecting those "series" of similar photos. But it could be that not all team members are informed. I'm sorry about that and I hope it won't happen again!
